15 20 25 30 2 The electrically controlled valves comprise a number of electrical cables with associated connectors for connecting actuators and electronic units as well as power transmission to the respective actuators. In addition, high-quality costly connectors are required for the connections as the valve's location on the outside of the front loader exposes it to moisture, dirt and mechanical wear which can result in the parts being damaged and the function being compromised.
A more fl flexible, reliable and durable solution with regard to the electrically controlled valves is thus in demand.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The object of the present invention is to provide an arrangement for mounting and sealing of electric drive intended for hydraulic valve which fulfills the above wishes and reduces the problems described above. This is achieved by an arrangement according to the independent patent claim.
The arrangement according to the invention comprises: - at least one electrically driven actuator intended to control the fate through a hydraulic valve; - connection cables intended to connect the actuator with control signals from an electronics box; and - a sealing part located at the upper part of the actuator for sealing the connection of the connection cables to the actuator; wherein the arrangement according to the invention is characterized in that the seal comprises a lower part attached to the actuator and which seal abuts the periphery of the actuator, and an upper part which is intended to accommodate the connection of said connecting cables to the actuator and sealingly attached to the lower part. 10 15 20 25 30 3 The arrangement has a number of advantages as the connections between the connecting cables and the actuator are considerably simplified by moving the seal against penetrating moisture and dirt to the passage of the connecting cables through the sealing part instead of requiring a tight connection to the actuator. The simplified sealing also provides a reduced cost for the arrangement, partly for the included components, but also means simplified assembly, which in turn reduces the time required for the assembly of the arrangement.
Another advantage of the arrangement is the previously used necessary and expensive connectors can be replaced with simpler and less expensive connectors, such as for example pin sleeves, by being protected inside the sealing part. These sleeves provide a more reliable and durable connection partly because the pin sleeves have a longer service life in them but also thanks to the fact that they sit protectively in the sealing part.
Another advantage of the arrangement is that it is flexible when it is adaptable to the current number of actuators, and in that these can be accommodated in one and the same sealing part.
An embodiment of the arrangement comprises four actuators integrated in an actuator unit and that the lower part is attached to the actuator unit and is designed to follow and abut the periphery of the actuator unit, and that the upper part is configured to cover the connection of all connecting cables to the respective actuator and sealing part. This embodiment of the invention is used in your applications as many machines have two separate functions which are controlled hydraulically and each comprises a line for supplying pressurized hydraulic oil and one for returning hydraulic oil to the hydraulic system in the machine. In an embodiment of the arrangement, the sealing part has a fastening device for the electronics box containing circuit boards with software for controlling the actuators. This embodiment is very advantageous when the length of the connection cables running between the electronics box and the control unit is minimized. This is very advantageous especially if the arrangement includes your control units.
Another advantage is that the assembly of the different parts is facilitated when the electronics unit is connected to the sealing part instead of requiring a separate suspension device and separate assembly.
In an embodiment of the arrangement, the connection cables run from the electronics box and through the sealing part in connection with the respective actuators.
In one embodiment of the arrangement, each connecting cable, or set of connecting cables, is provided with a part attached thereto with a notch of reduced cross-section, the notch being placed in an opening in the lower, or upper, part of the sealing part so that the cable, or set of cables, is kept sealingly fixed in the opening of the sealing part.
This embodiment provides a simple and reliable solution for sealingly carrying the connecting cables through the sealing part. The part attached to the connecting cable is preferably of an elastic material such as suitable plastic material or rubber and is placed so that the sections with a larger cross section than the opening in the sealing part end up on each side of the opening and thereby abut the inside and outside of the sealing part and thereby seal the cable gland.
In an embodiment of the arrangement, the openings are arranged in the lower part of the sealing part and placed so that when the arrangement is in the intended mounting position they are located on the underside of the sealing part. 10 15 20 25 30 5 This placement of the openings reduces the cable entry's exposure to weather and wind, which reduces the risk of any penetrating moisture and dirt.
In one embodiment of the arrangement, the outputs of the connection cables from the electronics box are protected by a coil protection. The coil protection has the advantage that it protects the cables' outputs from weather and wind and reduces the risk of mechanical wear such as impacts and shocks having a negative effect on the arrangement's function.
In an embodiment of the arrangement, one of the surfaces of the lower or upper part of the sealing part which abut each other is provided with a sealing gasket which is placed so that it encloses all the actuators.
In an embodiment of the arrangement, the lower part of the sealing part is attached to the actuator, or actuator unit, by means of screw connections and positioned in the desired position by means of spacers. This embodiment offers a reliable and precise fastening of the sealing part.
In one embodiment of the arrangement, the upper part of the seal is attached to the lower part by means of snap-on joints or screw joints. This interconnection of the upper and lower part, respectively, makes it easy to open and close the sealing part during inspection, or any damage that needs to be repaired.
Brief description The invention is explained in more detail below with references to the accompanying figures which show: Figure 1 shows a first embodiment of the arrangement schematically; Figure 2 shows some of the parts included in the arrangement of Figure 1; Figure 3 shows an exploded view of the parts in Figure 2.
Detailed description of the invention Figure 1 shows an electrically controlled valve 10 for four hydraulic hoses, and Figures 2 and 3 show some of the parts in the arrangement according to the invention in more detail. The valve is provided with a fastening device (not shown) to be placed on the right side of a front loader during use.
The valve is designed as a lump-shaped unit to which each end of the four inlet and outlet hydraulic hoses is connected.
The valve is used to connect the front loader's hydraulic system with a replaceable function / tool that is connected to the front loader depending on the type of work to be performed. The hydraulic system of the front loader is connected to the valve through the hoses 11 and the function / tool is connected to the valve with the hoses 12 which are schematically illustrated in figure 1. The hoses 12 are connected to the valve by means of suitable connectors arranged at the end of each hose 12.
In order to be able to control the connected function / tool, the valve comprises an actuator 13 for controlling the fate in the respective hydraulic hose.
The valve 10 is electrically controlled and the actuators 13 in this case consist of proportional soleonide valves for controlling the fate of each hose.
Other alternative solutions for controlling fate may also be possible.
The actuators 13 are located at the valve adjacent to the hose they are intended to control the fate of. In the embodiment shown in Figure 1, the four actuators 13 are arranged substantially in a row and housed in an actuator unit 15. At the at the upper end of the actuators 13 a sealing part 20 is placed.
The sealing part 20 houses the upper ends of all actuators.
The sealing part 20 is two-part and has a lower part 21 and an upper part 22. The lower part has a recess 23 for each actuator 13. The recesses 23 have the same shape as the outer contour of the actuator unit 15.
An alternative embodiment of the lower part 2 1 comprises a larger recess in which all actuators are housed. The lower part 21 is placed so that the recesses 23 with associated seals, not shown, abut the periphery of the actuator with its end opening into the recess 23 in the seal 20. The upper part 22 is designed to function as a closing lid when placed on the lower part 21. Between the contact surfaces of the lower 21 and the upper part 22, respectively, some type of seal is placed, for example a gasket or the like, to prevent water and dirt from penetrating into the seal 20. The upper 22 and lower part 2 1 are held in this embodiment in place in the desired position by means of screws 24 extending through holes 25 in the upper part 22 and corresponding holes 26 in the lower part 21 and further down into the outer structure of the actuator unit 15 surrounding the actuators.
The sealing part 20 is provided with brackets 30 for hanging an electronics unit 31. The electronics unit 31 contains, among other things, circuit boards for controlling the actuators and from the electronics unit 31 connect connection cables 32 to the respective actuators 13. The connection cables 32 are connected to the actuators 13 at the upper end of the actuators 13 , this is not shown in the accompanying figures, and must therefore be led into the sealing part 20. This is done through openings 27 in the lower part 21 of the seal 20. This placement of the openings 27 minimizes their exposure to weather and wind during use. To further improve the throughput of the connection cables 32, each set of connection cables is provided with a part 28 attached thereto with a larger cross-sectional area than the connection cable set. Somewhere along the part 28 attached to the connecting cables 28 there is a notch 29 with a reduced cross-section. The width of the groove 29 is adapted so that the groove 29 can be placed in the opening 27 in the lower part 21 of the sealing part and by means of the increasing cross-sectional area on respective sides of the groove 29 which abut the area around the opening 27 in the sealing part 20 and thereby be kept sealing in place in the opening 27. This part 28 attached to the cables is suitably made of an elastic material which provides good sealing properties for the cable gland. The shape and size of the openings 27 and the shape and size of the part 28 attached to the connecting cables are adapted to the size and shape of the connecting cables running between the electronics box 31 and the actuators 13 so that the desired seal and holding is obtained.
The opposite end of the connection cables 32, i.e. the ends which attach to the electronics box 31, are provided with connectors, not shown, for reliable connection to the electronics box 31 and the circuit boards housed therein. In order to increase the service life of this connection and to reduce the risk of mechanical wear on these connectors and connection cables 32, they are protected by a so-called coil protection 33.
The coil guard 33 is positioned so as to cover and protect the connections of the connecting cables 32 located on one of the substantially vertical sides of the electronics box 31 and designed so that any overflowing water or dirt from above does not come into contact with the connections. The coil cover 33 is attached to the electronics box 31 and has a size which substantially corresponds to the side surface of the electronics box 31 to which it is attached. However, the underside of the flush guard is open to make it possible to easily lead out the connection cables 32. However, the risk of penetrating dirt and water from below is small. Both the sealing part 20, the electronics box 31 and the coil protection 33 are designed with rounded corners to avoid anything getting caught in any of the parts. In the figures, a preferred embodiment of the invention has been shown.
The detailed design can, however, be varied in a number of different ways. For example, the sealing part may contain more than two parts as long as these parts form a sealing unit that reliably protects the actuators' cable connections. The arrangement can be designed in different sizes and shapes without departing from the principle of this invention. Furthermore, the attachments of the sealing part and the electronics box to the valve and component can also have different designs depending on which properties are required in the specific application where the arrangement is to be used. Although the invention has been described on the basis of some exemplary embodiments, the invention is not limited to these but is defined on the basis of the appended claims.
